FILLED DIRECTLY BY CLIENT 13SEP23

A leading brickwork contractor are looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager to oversee a major hi-rise project in Manchester City Centre – a landmark project for the area that’d be a ‘feather in the cap’ in anyone’s career – to start ASAP  in what is one of the most interesting roles I’ve been appointed to work.  In short, it’s a project you’ll look back on in years to come and say ‘I built that’ – a build to rent 50 million project consisting of 300 units up to 25 storey’s tall.

Interesting due to several reasons, but primarily because the Project Manager who joins this company will have the chance to work on one of the current flagship projects for both the brickwork contractor AND main contractor and the potential to move onto other projects with a similar standing or increased – for example, this business are currently working on one of THE hi-rise developments of 2022/2023 and indeed the last 10 years in the Manchester area so they’re getting a reputation for working these types of developments.

Of course, working for a well-known client doesn’t always make your Project Manager role within the contractor any better, but this family run firm are tight knit, are on the ascendancy in terms of work and reputation, are making great profits and also promote from within.  They have a range of clients, both hi-rise residential, traditional house build and commercial, pay well, offer long-term bonuses for successful projects and also have a long term pipeline – this one is due to last 2 years.

In return, they’ll be looking for a professional Project Manager/Senior Site Manager who has had experience working on the brickwork elements of a hi-rise building using mast-climbers, ideally from a bricklaying background but not essential, someone professional who can juggle several hats with the client including the standard running of programmes, health and safety, day to day site inspections and build.

Summary:
  • Brickwork Project Manager/Senior Site Manager to join specialist sub-contractor ASAP.

  • The project will be a hi-rise build to rent apartment block (with some housing) to last around 2 years in total in the Manchester/Salford area.

  • Interviews will take place ASAP for the right candidate – ideally from a brickwork background but will definitely have managed Facades on some sort of mid-to-hi rise.

  • Excellent salary and package for the right candidate and progression offered.
