Design Engineer

A PLC housebuilder are looking to supplement their Technical and Engineering department with a Design Engineer and are offering a top package of £45,000 and onwards for an Assistant stepping up and up to £65,000 for your all-singing-all-dancing Engineer plus all your usual large builder benefits. And the good thing about this housebuilder is they're full-steam ahead in productivity at the moment.

After a period of consolidation last year, the technical team has steadily reformed the last year with promotions and external recruitment and now the time has come to add you to a team of 4 other Design Engineers. You’d be office based in West Cheshire in a role that is office based but in a company who won't chain you to your desk - want to negotiate a midweek day or two working from home? What they do need off you is someone who can hit the ground running. They're really busy, running around 600 units with plans to get up to 700. The restructure means they'll be someone to help you BUT they also need you to crack on. Site needs a redesign to overcome a problem? That'll be you. A tender package needs raising for a Section 278? That'll also be you. Paid handsomely for your efforts. That'll also be you! I reckon we can talk at £45,000 to £50,000 for a good Assistant or 3 or 4 years experience, £50,000 to £60,000 for someone experience and pushing mid £60,000's for your all singing all dancing.

That'll also come with a 10% bonus, your car/allowance, your standard days holiday but with all the extra additionals and WFH flexibility you'd hope for. The guys you’d be working with have been in the business several years, are top fellas with a good reputation and said it’s a good time to be joining the business, units are selling ahead of expectations, they’re busy, the team is secure and solid, they just need you, a good strong Engineer with a background in housing, to join them ASAP.
