Civils Groundworks Site Manager - Public Realm

Groundworks Site Managers tend to be the most down-to-earth managers out there (geddit?!) so this job should appeal – it’s a no-nonsense, 12-month contract, picking up a good job involving a large public realm scheme that a Project Manager has put in place the last 2 years, good salary, local work if you live around the North Manchester area, a quick start, good firm to work with. What’s not to like?

This is a position I placed into around 2 years ago at a Project Manager level, THEN it was a complicated engineering role that involved the construction of a new bridge to bring a disused canal into use in Bolton. This was also part of a wider scheme around including footpaths, woodlands and various other public realm elements.

The hard part is done. The easy part is next. Around 12-months coordination, mostly managing a groundworks team to get the public elements to a finish. The further wider scheme is new build housing so you'll be part of that team, reporting to a Contracts Manager on a fixed-term permanent contract with a salary around £50,000 to £55,000 plus package - although we can negotiate on this if you're SHIT HOT. Or not.

On top of your salary, we’ll add in a car allowance of around £5,000, holidays, basically a full package is if you were employed although if you’d rather discuss something around CIS or Ltd company we can.
